Supplied by technology partner NG, HC650E turbine is the first power plant specification multistage turbine ever installed in Indonesia. Above in Jebsen & Jessen Technology’s workshop in Malaysia.
Earlier this year, Jebsen & Jessen Technology Malaysia secured a contract with PT KLK Dumai Oleo Chemical to supply a 5.5 MW extraction condensing turbine for their refinery complex in Dumai, Indonesia.
The turbine is designed with inlet steam conditions of 40 bar and 400 degree Celsius and with extraction steam pressure of 17 bar; the team will offer full technical support from installation through commissioning and maintenance. The project is estimated to be completed within the next 16 months. Upon completion, it will be the first power plant specification multistage turbine ever installed in Indonesia.
“Understanding and customising our solutions to our customer needs and efficiency are our winning formula,” says Senior Sales Manager Jebsen & Jessen Technology Energy Division Albert Cheong. “The key concern of our customer was the unstable power supply within the area. With that in mind, our team proposed this unique design where the turbine operates with a flexibility to extract process steam at the range of 20-27 tonnes per hour while maintaining the required energy output of 5.5MW,” says General Manager Jebsen & Jessen Technology Energy Division Steve Ng.
