Our Executive Board, the highest level of executive management for our Group, sets the strategic framework to the regional managing directors, who spearhead each regional business and assume direct responsibility for performance as well as operational quality and effectiveness.
The Board of Directors, comprising a total of eight internal and external members, convenes quarterly to provide strategic input on the overall Group development. Separate joint venture boards oversee our three regional joint ventures JJ-Lapp Cable

Heinrich Jessen, Chairman
Heinrich Jessen started his career as a tropical biologist before joining the Jebsen & Jessen Family Enterprise in 1995. In Jebsen & Jessen (SEA) he has worked as Group Director - Environment, Health & Safety, General Manager of two of the group’s packaging companies and Regional Managing Director of its material handling joint-venture MHE-Demag. He has been Chairman of Jebsen & Jessen (SEA)’s Executive Board since 2010.
Heinrich currently serves as council member in Air Liquide International (Eastern Asia), Yale University's School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, MIT Press’ Journal of Industrial Ecology and the United World College Southeast Asia Foundation.
Heinrich was educated at George Washington University and Yale University.
Per Magnusson, Executive Vice Chairman
Per Magnusson has since January 1, 2016 joined the JJSEA's Executive Board. Mr Magnusson has for the past seven years been heading the Group's material handling unit, where he presided over a significant top-line, bottom-line, product-line and geographic growth of the business. In the Executive Board, Mr Magnusson is responsible for the Material Handling, Offshore, Packaging and Technology Business Units as well as the emerging markets of Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar.
Prior to joining MHE-Demag in 2008, Mr Magnusson worked with ABB and held several senior executive positions in Malaysia, China and Sweden.
Mr Magnusson is a Swedish citizen and holds a Masters degrees in Electrical Engineering from top-ranked universities in Sweden (Chalmers University) and Canada (University of Waterloo). He also holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from Uppsala University, Sweden.
Alex Chan, Executive Vice Chairman
Mr Chan, currently Executive Vice-Chairman at Jebsen & Jessen SEA Pte Ltd, previously served as the Managing Director of Hewlett Packard Singapore and South East Asia, Managing Director and CEO of Yeo Hiap Seng Limited, Executive Director of Far East Organisation, and MMI Holdings Limited.
He served as Chairman of Singapore Sports Council till 2010, and Chairman of Sistic Private Limited till 2016. He is serving as Independent Director on the boards of Spindex Ltd and Standard Chartered Bank Singapore Pte Ltd.
Mr Chan was a former Nominated Member of Parliament (NMP) in the 10th Singapore Parliament. Mr Chan holds a Bachelor’s Degree of Electrical Engineering (First Class Honours) from University of Singapore, and a Master in Business Administration from University of California, Los Angeles.
Regional Managing Directors

Mike Winzerling is the Regional Managing Director of JJ-Lapp Cable responsible for operations across South East Asia. Mr Winzerling joined the Lapp group as a sales engineer in 2003. He relocated to Thailand to join JJ-Lapp Cable in 2007 and in 2011 moved to Indonesia where he established the company's joint venture manufacturing facility. Mr Winzerling took on the Regional Managing Director role from January 1, 2015. ► Email contact
Mr Deschamps is the Regional Managing Director of Jebsen & Jessen Ingredients (formerly Jebsen & Jessen Chemicals). Based in the company’s regional headquarters in Bangkok Thailand, he is responsible for operations across six business lines, with direct presence in nine countries and a team of over 300 technical and customer service staff. Mr Helms has served as Managing Director of JJ-Lurgi since 2012. Mr Helms joined the Group's Engineering division in 2000, transferring to JJ-Lurgi as General Manager – Operations in 2002. In his current role he overseas the Malaysia based engineering practise of 110 staff. Mr Karl Tilkorn is the Managing Director of MHE-Demag. He joined the company in 2015. Based in Singapore, Mr Karl Tilkorn oversees operations across the region and more than 1,500 staff. ► Email contact
Mr Aw is the Regional Managing Director of the Group's newest business unit, Jebsen & Jessen Offshore. Mr Aw joined the Group in February 2014. His successful career in the offshore industry spans 23 years and includes positions with Esso, the Sembcorp Group, and most recently, Singapore's Otto Marine. ► Email contact
Mr Chui is the Regional Managing Director of Jebsen & Jessen Packaging and has more than 30 years of experience in designing and manufacturing packaging solutions. He is in charge of managing operations across South East Asia, overseeing more than 600 people. Mr Chui has successfully completed a number of mergers and acquisitions for the Regional Business Unit such as Broadway in 2002 and Labplas 2011. ► Email contact
A veteran of the Group, Mr Hansen has been in his current role of Regional Managing Director for Jebsen & Jessen Technology since 2011. Based in Bangkok, he is responsible for the operations of this business unit across the region.
