Monday, September 02, 2013
Sister company Jebsen & Co announced double-digit annual turnover, with revenue of HK$15.6 billion in 2012, despite the slower economic growth rate in mainland China.
In its Consumer Business Unit, Jebsen expanded from distribution into retail, opening over 100 Dyson stores in China by September 2013 with plans to open a total of around 200 by the end of the year. Jebsen Industrial achieved over 20 per cent revenue growth in 2012 and continued the development in the first half of 2013. For Jebsen Beverage, Jebsen’s own beer brand Blue Girl Beer recorded a 40 per cent increase in sales over 2011.
Finally, Jebsen’s Luxury business is on track with HK$575 million investment for Porsche dealership business over the next two years.
“Jebsen remains optimistic of its expanding position in the Greater China market. We will continue with our investments in existing business lines but cautious on business planning considering the uncertain economic climate. We remain committed to Greater China market, to our staff and the community we operate in,” said Mr Helmuth Hennig, Jebsen Group Managing Director.
